Gee Whiz (1984) Yellow blend shrub. The ovoid-pointed buds of barium yellow (RHSCC 10A) tinted vermilion (RHSCC 41B) open to double (20-30 petals, shallow-cupped, 3-4 inch blooms of barium yellow heavily streaked and freckled with vermilion. The blooms are borne in clusters of 1-10 and have a sweet fragrance. The medium-sized, leathery, dark olive green foliage is tinted with copper when young. The thorns are brown and needle-like. The low, bushy, 2.5-3 ft plant is freely branching and blooms freely from June until killing frost. The plants are winter-hardy in Iowa without protection.

Gentle Persuasion (1984) Yellow blend shrub. The medium-large, ovoid-pointed lemon yellow tinted Spanish orange (RHSCC 26C) buds open to double (25-30 petals), cupped open, 4-inch blooms of lemon yellow (RHSCC 14C) overlaid with Mars orange (RHSCC 31D), which age lighter. The blooms have a light, sweet fragrance and are borne in clusters of 1-5. The abundant, leathery, large, semi-glossy foliage is dark olive green and has good field tolerance to common foliar diseases. The thorns are tan and awl-like. The erect, bushy plants is vigorous and blooms from June to killing frost. The plants are winter-hardy in Iowa without protection.

Golden Princess (1984) Yellow blend shrub. The large, ovoid-pointed buds of pale aureolin yellow (RHSCC 12D) open to double (30-35 petals), cupped, open. 404.5 inch blooms of deeper aureolin yellow (RHSCC 12A) tinted spinel red (RHSCC 54A) on petal edges, and finishing pale spinel red (RHSCC 54C). The blooms have a sweet fragrance and are borne in clusters of 1-5. The abundant, semi-glossy foliage is medium olive green. the tan thorns are large and hooked. The upright plant is bushy and blooms from early June until Killing frost. the plants are winter-hardy in Iowa without protection.

Golden Unicorn (1985) Yellow blend shrub. The large, ovoid-long-pointed buds of cadium orange (RHSCC 23C) tinted at the edges with shrimp red (RHSCC 33C) open to double (25-30 petals), shallow-cupped, open, 4-inch blooms which are paler than the bud. The blooms are borne in clusters of 1-8 and have a sweet fragrance. The abundant, leathery foliage is dark olive green and has good tolerance to foliar disease. The thorns are tan and awl-like. The vigorous, upright, bushy, 2.4-3 ft plant is spreading and blooms from June until killing frost. The plants are winter-hardy in Iowa without protection.

Grace Note (1984) Pink blend shrub. The ovoid-pointed buds of Venetian pink (RHSCC 49C) open to double (35-40 petals), imbricated. 4-4.5 inch bloom of Venetian pink heavily marked with blood red (RHSCC 45D) "freckles" on the petals. the blooms are borne in clusters of 3-8 and have a moderately-strong, sweet fragrance. The large, abundant, leathery foliage is dark green. The thorns are tan and awl-like. The vigorous, upright plant is bushy and blooms from June until killing frost. The plants are winter-hardy in Iowa without protections.

Griff's Red (2001) Medium red shrub. The medium-sized pointed buds of ruby red open to double (30-40 petals), shallow-cupped, 4-5 inch blooms of ruby red. The blooms are borne singly and in small clusters of 3-5 and have a medium fragrance. Abundant, grass green foliage shows good resistance to Black Spot and Powdery Mildew. The thorns are tan and awl-like. The erect, bushy plants bloom from June to killing frost. The plants are winter-hardy in Iowa to 10-12" without protection. "Amiga Mia" x 'Music Maker'
